Nasopharyngeal Airway

In medicine, a nasopharyngeal airway, also known as an NPA,nasal trumpet (because of its flaredend), or nose hose, a type of airway adjunct, is a tube that is designed to be inserted into the nasalpassage way to secure an open airway. When a patient becomes unconscious, the muscles in the jaw commonly relax and can allow the tongue to slide back and obstruct the airway. The purpose of slidably rings are designed to adjust depth of the tube for more comfort while also prevent tube from slipping the nasal airway beyond the desired depth.

Nasopharyngeal Airway is commonly used to secure an open airway in general anesthesia and emergency situation, is single use and is available in a variety of sizes. Nasopharyngeal Airway is soft, flexible, and is sterilized with EO gas. The soft rounded tip allows for gentle insertion, is biocompatible and latex free. For nasal airway management only.
